Welcome to Asthra Writer. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Asthra Writer platform and Microsoft Word Add-in (the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Asthra Writer is an AI-powered co-pilot designed to assist in creating structured drafts for complex submissions in clinical trials, drug manufacturing, and other life sciences documentation. The Service works directly within Microsoft Word to identify relevant sections, tables, and images from your sources to generate regulatory-compliant drafts.

2. Eligibility and User Accounts

  • Registration: To access certain features, you must register using a valid Organisation ID or individual credentials.

  • Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account details and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. User Content and Ownership

  • Your Content: You may upload text, data, or documents to the Service ("User Content"). You retain full ownership and all intellectual property rights in your User Content.

  • No Training: We do not use your sensitive document content to train our public AI models.

  • License to Process: By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your User Content solely to provide the AI-assisted drafting functionality.

4. Use of AI and Disclaimers

  • AI-Assisted Drafting: The Service uses a hybrid mix of frontier and domain-tuned Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate content.

  • Accuracy and Review: AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies or hallucinations.

  • User Responsibility: You acknowledge that Asthra Writer is a drafting assistant, not a substitute for professional judgment. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and finalizing all outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with global regulatory standards.

5. Acceptable and Prohibited Usage

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any purpose that violates global regulatory laws or ethical standards in the life sciences sector.

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Asthra AI stack.

  • Use the Service to generate or transmit malicious code, spam, or infringing content.

  • Circumvent any security features or authentication protocols.

6. Proprietary Rights

Except for your User Content, all rights, titles, and interests in the Service—including the Asthra AI name, branding, logo, and core technology—remain the exclusive property of Asthra AI and its research partners.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • As-Is Basis: The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.

  • Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Asthra Writer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service or the reliance on AI-generated outputs.

  • Regulatory Compliance: We are not responsible for your failure to meet specific regulatory submission deadlines or requirements.

8. Term and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business interests.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Asthra AI is headquartered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
